Is this recruiter real?
Paste a recruiter's message, phone number, or email. We check it for common job scam signals.
Common questions
How does the recruiter scam check work?
It looks for common job scam signals in what you paste: requests to move to a chat app, checks to deposit, upfront fees, crypto or gift cards, pressure to act fast, and requests for sensitive details. It also checks the email domain, the website, and the phone line type when you provide them.
Does a clean result mean the recruiter is real?
No. It only means we did not find common scam signals. Always verify a recruiter independently: find the company's careers page yourself and call the company's main line.
Do you store the message, phone number or email I paste?
No. What you submit is used only to run this check and is not stored. A phone number is sent to Twilio to look up the line type, and the message text may be reviewed by an AI model with storage turned off. We keep only a short cache of when a domain was registered.
What should I do if I think it is a scam?
Stop replying, do not send money or personal details, and do not deposit any check. Report it at reportfraud.ftc.gov, and read the FTC guide to job scams for next steps.
