Our commitment
HiringCoachAI is designed to be usable by as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technology. Current verified conformance is to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, with WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our stated forward-looking target.
Current status
We have an active accessibility program. Recent evidence:
- 123 production routes inventoried and mapped to WCAG success criteria
- Zero
eslint-plugin-jsx-a11yviolations in the latest internal verification run - Zero
axe-coreviolations across Playwright accessibility smoke tests on 123 routes - 45+ remediations applied across 91 files in the most recent cycle
- Keyboard navigation, skip link, focus management verified on core flows
- 320-pixel reflow verified on 23 pages
- Computed accessibility tree verified on 23 pages
The current ACR / VPAT summarizes the evidence supporting these checks and is available at /vpat.
Conformance report (VPAT / ACR)
We publish an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) / VPAT following the VPAT 2.5Rev WCAG (April 2025) template. Current version: /vpat (also reachable at https://hiringcoach.ai/vpat). We update it at least annually and on any material product change.

Roadmap
We maintain a public accessibility roadmap with dated milestones for verification, evidence refreshes, release-process checks, remediation, and external-review planning. Current roadmap: https://hiringcoach.ai/trust/docs/accessibility-roadmap.
Known limitations
- Live screen-reader testing on all 123 routes (NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS) is expanding from verified core flows toward the full route inventory; progress is tracked in the accessibility roadmap.
- Some third-party embedded components (e.g., Stripe Elements, Canva pickers) inherit their vendors' accessibility posture; we use only components that meet our bar and file issues with vendors when we find gaps.
Accessibility features
- Skip-to-content link at top of every page
- Semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, footer)
- Keyboard-operable UI with visible focus indicators
- Text alternatives for non-decorative images
- ARIA labels where custom components require them
- Color contrast ratios meeting WCAG AA
- Responsive layouts down to 320 px width without horizontal scroll
- Resizable text to 200% without loss of content
- Reduced-motion support honoring
prefers-reduced-motion
Feedback and assistance
If you encounter an accessibility barrier:
- Email
[email protected] - Include: the page URL, the action you were attempting, the assistive technology you were using, and what happened vs. what you expected.
Response target: we aim to respond within 5 business days of receiving a report.
Remediation: we target critical blockers within 7 days, major issues within 30 days, and minor issues within the next release cycle. Where a target cannot be met — for example, where a fix depends on a third-party vendor — we document a remediation plan and keep the reporter updated.
